Alluvium Ensemble is a New Orleans-based music and arts collective. Formed in 2021, Alluvium provides community concerts, installation work and special events to the New Orleans area. In addition, Alluvium creates multimedia videos exploring some of the rapidly vanishing worlds of Louisiana for the digital realm.
Consisting of five generations of New Orleans artists as well as an eclectic mix of musicians from across the world, over its debut season Alluvium Ensemble produced numerous public piano recitals and presented installation work at the Contemporary Arts Center and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Recently, Alluvium hosted a public vocal workshop where amateur and working musicians alike honed their technique and creative practice in a socratic setting. The workshop culminated in a public concert the following evening. Both the concert and workshop were hosted at the Marigny Opera House.
